Prison Break Game Coming Next February

Alvin and the Chipmunks publisher Brash Entertainment will be bringing the Fox television show Prison Break into the realm of interactive entertainment next February.

The project was revealed by an ad contained in recently released Season 3 DVD box set, reports GameSpot, with no platforms or other details listed.

Starring Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller (pictured left), Prison Break debuted in 2005 and tells the tale of a tattoo-covered structural engineer that intentionally gets himself imprisoned in a jail he designed in order to break out with his wrongly-convicted big brother. Batman: Arkham Asylum Screenshots Leak

The first screenshots of Batman: Arkham Asylum (PC, PS3, 360) made their way onto the internet today, giving the public a glimpse of classic Batman villains and locations.

The shots leaked out via a now-removed gallery on developer Rocksteady Studios' official page, where they were billed as exclusive Game Informer screenshots.

Co-published by Eidos and Warner, the Unreal Engine 3-powered action-detective game was revealed earlier this week and is due out sometime next year. ...

Activision: Warner Is Not 'Respectful' of Guitar Hero, Fires Back over Music Studio Complaints

Responding to complaints from Warner Music that music-oriented games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band don't pay enough for licensed songs, Guitar Hero publisher Activision has labeled the comments as "one-sided" and disrespectful.

Warner simply isn't "respectful of how much we've done to bring new audiences into the market," Activision CEO Bobby Kotick told the Financial Times.

"We're introducing a whole new group of artists to new audiences that is resulting in their iTunes downloads being exponentially higher than they would otherwise be, [as well as] new album sales and new merchandising opportunities," he explained.

Warner label Roadrunner, for example, noted a bump in DragonForce album sales after the band was exposed to a wider audience in Guitar Hero III.

Flagship 'Barely Open,' Shutting Down Soon

Though Flagship Studios CEO Bill Roper previously stated that the Hellgate: London and Mythos developer was not shutting down despite having laid off most of its staff, ex-COO Max Schaefer has revealed that it is only open to take care of "final affairs."

"It's barely open," Schaefer explained to GameCyte. "It's just open enough to take care of the final affairs, but for all intents and purposes it's closed down."

Need for Speed Undercover Arrives November 18, Stars 'Box Office Sensation' Maggie Q

Electronic Arts today revealed Need for Speed Undercover, with PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP editions of the racer slated to hit North America on November 18 and Europe on November 21.

The latest entry in the Black Box-developed racing series "takes the franchise back to its roots and re-introduces break-neck cop chases, the world's hottest cars and spectacular highway battles," according to EA.

"Big-budget live-action sequences" that feature "box office sensation" and "international movie star" Maggie Q (Mission Impossible III, Live Free or Die Hard) will further the game's plot, with Ms. Q playing the "seductive handler" Federal Agent Chase Linh.
